Nova’s coverage of the One Direction phenomenon had a couple of unexpected twists this week. One of Nova’s interviews with the band went international, and one of Nova’s staff was asked out on a date by band member Zayn. But she turned him down.

And Nova receptionist Anna proved popular with the band. It all started when the boys from One Direction arrived at Nova 969 on Wednesday and saw receptionist Anna.

They asked Fitzy and Wippa about her, they got security to get her phone number, then Zayn started texting.

Many texts later, Anna was still at home, having turned down Zayn’s invite to One Direction’s hotel because she said all the drama surrounding it had got “too intense”.

Oh, and because she has a boyfriend.
