Nova’s Tim Blackwell to host 2024 ARIA Awards

Nova’s Tim Blackwell had an exciting announcement to share last night on the Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel show: He’s going to be hosting this year’s ARIA Awards.

To be held on November 20 in Sydney, the 2024 hosting team also includes Bridget Hustwaite, Latifa Tee, Christian Wilkins and Rhys Nicholson.

Tim opened up to Ricki-Lee and Joel about feeling nervous.

Making the announcement extra special, Tim revealed that the very first CD he was given was The ARIA Nominees compilation back in 1991.

Congratulating her radio co-host, Ricki-Lee said “I couldn’t think of a better person to host the ARIAS … they’re never going to be able to turn back once they’ve had you.”

ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd says “We are incredibly excited to have Tim host the 2024 ARIA Awards with Latifa, Bridget and Christian.

“As a key figure within Australian music and broadcasting for more than 15 years, Tim has interviewed not only Australia’s biggest and brightest stars from the last decade or more, but artists from around the world who are setting the global music conversation.”

“That’s really important in a year when we want to take the ARIAs to a global audience and spotlight the Aussie artists and ARIA nominees currently starring on the world stage as well as at home.”
