NSW Premier awards Taree announcer

2RE/107.3 MAX FM Taree radio announcer Craig Huth was recognised by premier of NSW Barry O’Farrell yesterday in Taree at the community cabinet.

He was awarded the Premier of NSW Community Service Award, which recognises those who go above and beyond to improve the quality of life of people in their community.

Craig Huth started the MAX FM Christmas Train, which raises money for important medical equipment for the Manning Base Hospital in Taree as well as Xmas presents for sick children and the elderly. In the past five years, it’s raised over $150,000.

“It’s a real honour to receive this award, but it also belongs to all the businesses and listeners who supported us in bringing cheer to this community”, Huth said.
