Over 200, 000 listener calls for 2GB Family Cruise promotion

Valued at over half a million dollars, the largest promotion in 2GB’s history, ‘The 2GB Family Cruise’, closed on Sunday with an incredible listener response of 229,167 telephone entries and 5,886 web entries for the 2nd Chance Draw.

The results of the two week 2GB Family Cruise promotion included:

• On the first day of the promotion 2GB received 15,376 total caller entries. 2GB on average receives approx 2,000 OPENLINE callers each day.


• Each week of the competition 2GB received over 100, 000 calls.


• In the first week of the promotion (from Breakfast on Monday, 16th April until the end of play on Friday, 20th April) 2GB broke 100, 000 calls for a total of 110 957 calls.


• 235,053 people entered the 2GB Family Cruise promotion – 229,167 telephone entries and 5,886 web entries

With sponsor P&O Cruises who are celebrating 75 years of cruising, 2GB has awarded 75 lucky listeners cruise packages, worth a total of $557, 000. The winners and their families will join 2GB’s Philip Clark, Kayley Harris & Pete Graham on an eight night P&O South Pacific cruise, which sets sail on 3rd August.
