Paul and Woody bring Krispy Kreme to Hobart.

It’s a humanitarian effort of mammoth proportions, 2 tonnes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts making the journey across Bass Strait to Hobart.

Hit 100.9 breakfast hosts Paul and Woody have been campaigning for over two and a half years for the popular doughnut chain to come to Hobart, Hit 100.9’s Paul and Woody announced the exciting news on their breakfast show this morning with Krispy Kreme CEO, Andrew McGuigan.

Southern Tasmania has signed our petitions, doughnuts have been smuggled in Paul and Woody’s personal hand luggage and we’ve delivered thousands to the desperate people of Hobart; and now, Krispy Kreme has finally heard Hobart’s plea.

The extensive campaign, now dubbed #doughbart will see a pop-up Krispy Kreme stall with an expected 2 tonnes of doughnuts on the Hobart Waterfront on Saturday October 8, 2016.

Hit 100.9 breakfast hosts, Paul Hogan and Esther Woodhams have been blown away by the passion of their Hobart listeners.

“We can’t believe the overwhelming support from everyone who listens to our show. It’s been two and a half years in the making. This one is for every Southern Tasmanian who signed our petition!” – Woody.

“We won’t rest until everyone in Hobart gets a Krispy Kreme in their gob!” – Paul.
