Paul McCartney joins iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup

Paul McCartney has been added to the line-up for the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the two-day music event hosted by Ryan Seacrest and streamed in Australia on ARN’s iHeartRadio.

McCartney joins stars including Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Elton John, Muse, Tiësto, Chris Brown, Keith Urban, fun., Miguel, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha, Drake, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Benny Benassi,The Summer Set, plus a rare live appearance by legendary rock band Queen + Adam Lambert.

McCartney has spent much of 2013 on his Out There tour and is currently working on new material for his next album.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival will take place on 20th and 21st September, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Festival will broadcast live across the US Clear Channel radio stations which, for Australian fans, mean that they can watch the entire concert live via video stream at iHeartRadio.com.au from midday onwards on both September 21 and 22.

world,” said John Sykes, co-executive producer of the iHeartRadio Music Festival and President of Entertainment Enterprises, Clear Channel. “Having Paul join this year’s already spectacular and diverse lineup heightens the excitement for what has become the most anticipated music festival of the year.”

This year, the Festival gets even bigger with the addition of the iHeartRadio Music Festival Village on Saturday afternoon. The Festival Village will feature live performances on two stages by nearly a dozen popular and up-and-coming artists, including Miley Cyrus, The Wanted, Jason Derulo, The Band Perry, Avril Lavigne, Krewella, Cher Lloyd, twenty one pilots, Pete Tong, AWOLNATION and a special guest appearance by Ne-Yo.

ARN is a joint venture between Clear Channel Broadcasting and APN News & Media, and has recently launched iHeartRadio in Australia.
