Nielsen Media Research has announced the appointment of Peter Cornelius to the position of managing director of Nielsen Media Research Australia.
Cornelius most recently held the position of managing director and chief negotiating officer for Zenith Australia — a company he helped establish and launch five years previously. He also served on a number of key industry bodies, most recently as president of the Media Federation of Australia (MFA), and chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and served on the Executive Board of the CAB.
Commenting on his appointment, Cornelius said: “I have spent my entire working life on the agency side and therefore know first hand the value of media research in providing information and insights on behalf of clients. Someone once wrote that knowledge is king and this statement has never been more apt than in today’s changing marketplace”.
