Phil O’Neil is Ugly again!

According to a report in the UK’s ‘Music Week’, Phil O’Neil has regained his ‘ugly’ tag, and will be hosting the breakfast show on the soon-to-launch Kerrang! FM station in the West Midlands, UK.

Ugly Phil, was an Austereo regular, hosting the nightly Hot 30 Countdown, and later tried yet another talk experiment, which was subsequently pulled by management.

Phil will take up the role at the station when it launches later this year. It will mark a return for the presenter to broadcasting in the UK, where he was previously a DJ on fellow Emap station, Kiss 100.

The station’s programme director Andre Jeffries told Music Week: “I’m thrilled that Ugly Phil has agreed to leave his career in Australia and come and join the team at Kerrang! 105.2. Ugly Phil is a unique radio talent and his on-air style and personality is like no other currently available in the West Midlands. The Ugly Phil breakfast show will be controversial, challenging and will totally involve and engage the listener.”
