Pitches are now open for a new twelve episode series of Short Cuts, short documentaries and works of sound art which will air on the ABC, BBC and CBC in early 2027. This is a welcome return for the program hosted by Josie Long, after it was axed by BBC Radio 4 after 13 years.

The minimum duration for these short cuts is 30 seconds and the maximum around 10 minutes.
The ABC, BBC and CBC are seeking ideas that weigh sound and feeling and that think with care about the stories they tell in the world. People at any stage of their audio careers are welcome to apply.
