Pucker up for MRRWorks Big Kiss Downunder on Valentines Day

Macquarie Regional RadioWorks is encouraging its listeners to ‘share the love’ next week on Valentines day. Over 40 towns and cities across the country will be a part of Australia’s biggest ever, coordinated public display of affection, which MRRWorks is calling THE BIG KISS DOWNUNDER.

Australia’s largest radio network is coordinating this major community event to connect people and communities around the country on the day of the year “we all think about love and those who are special to us.”

From Hobart to Cairns, from Bunbury to the Gold Coast, the promotion will be a part of a live Valentines Day outside broadcast by local breakfast teams. Celebrities, high profile people and listeners will be invited to come along and “share the love” at the OB.

Then at 8.10am, a synchronised kiss will see couples across the country locking lips and creating a world first event: THE BIG KISS DOWNUNDER.

Macquarie Regional Radioworks CEO Rhys Holleran has told radioinfo: “We have always thought that great radio is about engaging our many millions of listeners. This is a unique and fun way of doing just that while assisting a great cause in the Heart Foundation. I encourage everyone to come down and share in the fun.”

Thousands of people are expected to take part in THE BIG KISS DOWNUNDER, and all participants in the ‘feel good’ event will be invited to make a Gold Coin Donation to the National Heart Foundation.
