Gary O’Callaghan’s funeral has been confirmed for 1pm this Monday at St Agnes, Port Macquarie.
 
The former Sydney radio icon passed away last week aged 83.
 
He started his career at 2SM and joined 2UE in 1956 where he stayed until his retirement in 2003, apart from a short stint at 2KY during Kerry Packer’s brief ownership of 2UE.
 
O’Callaghan moved back to the mid north coast of NSW and continued to work at 2MC.

For those who’d like to pay tribute to Gary but are unable to make it to Port Macquarie for Monday’s funeral, a memorial service to remember and celebrate his life will be held at Sydney’s St Mary’s Cathedral from 10.30 to 11.30am on Tuesday, 12 September.

All are invited to join Gary’s family.
