- 2GB regains top spot from KIIS in Sydney
- 3AW top with the country’s highest breakfast share, Gold second in Melbourne
- B105 back on top in Brisbane
- Triple M grabs top spot in Adelaide
- Nova consolidates its lead in Perth
- SCA on the comeback trail
The survey was conducted by GfK for Commercial Radio Australia between Sun Feb 5 to Sat Feb 25 & Sun Feb 26 to Sat Apr 1, 2023.

Sydney
- 2GB regained the market leadership, up 0.8 to an 11.8% overall share
- KIIS slipped back into second spot, down 0.4 to 11.5%
- Third placed smooth lost 0.6 to 9.7%, followed by WSFM, up 0.5 to 9.4%
- KIIS had the biggest cumulative audience, with 1.345 million weekly listeners
- ARN stablemates KIIS 90s and CADA had the best results of the DAB+ stations this survey
- The top breakfast show was Kyle and Jackie on KIIS, followed by Ben Fordham on 2GB
- KIIS dominated the under 40 demographics, smooth won 40-54s, WSFM won 55-64s and 2GB won the over 65s
Melbourne
- Top station 3AW slipped 0.3 to 16.3%
- Second placed Gold lost 0.8 to 11.6%
- smooth was third, up 0.4 to 9.7, followed by Fox, down 0.5 to 9.3%
- Fox had the biggest cume, with 1.28 million listeners
- Gold 80s scored the biggest audience on DAB+
- Ross and Russel on 3AW breakfast have the biggest share of any breakfast show in the country, with 21.1% of the market
- FOX won the under 40 demographics, Gold won 40-54s and 3AW won the over 545 demographics
Brisbane
- B105 took top position away from Nova, gaining 1 share point overall to score 12.7%
- Nova was second with 12%, down 0.2
- Third placed KIIS slipped 0.2 to 10.6%
- Nova had the biggest cume, with 707,000 listeners
- Nova 90s scored the biggest audience on DAB+
- Stav, Abby and Matt on B105 won breakfast ahead of Nova
- B105 won 10-17s and 25-39s, Triple M won 18-24s, Nova won 40-54s, 4BH won the over 55s
Adelaide
- Triple M had a strong gain, up 1.3 share points to 12%, snatching top position from the previous leader, Mix
- Mix was second with 11.9%, down 0.4
- Third placed Nova lost 0.8 to 11.3%
- Mix had the biggest cume, with 362,000 listeners
- smooth fm Adelaide scored the biggest audience on DAB+
- Roo, Ditz and Loz on Triple M won breakfast ahead of FIVEaa
- Nova won the under 40s, Mix won 40-64s and FIVEaa won the over 65s
Perth
- Nova consolidated its top position, up 0.2 share points to 12.9%
- Mix jumped into second place, up 1.9 to 13.1%
- Third placed 96fm gained 0.8 to 12.9%
- Nova had the biggest cume, with 702,000 listeners
- smooth fm Perth scored the biggest audience on DAB+
- Nathan, Nat and Shaun on Nova won breakfast ahead of Mix
- Nova won all the under 54s, 96fm won 55-64s and 6PR won the over 65s
