Radio searches for Adelaide’s best teacher

Nova 919 is on the hunt for Adelaide’s Teacher of the Year.

Adelaide’s students, parents, colleagues and friends are encouraged to nominate the Teacher across five different categories.

The Teacher of the Year will stand out above the rest, going the extra mile and making a difference to their students, school and the community.

NOVA Entertainment CEO Cathy O’Connor said, “We know how important the role of teachers are in our children’s everyday lives. At Nova we’re extremely excited to launch “Teacher of the Year” in an effort to take a step back from day to day academic pressures to acknowledge the qualities that make up these amazing people.”

Bendigo Bank State Manager SA/NT Joe Formichella said,“Teacher of the Year celebrates teachers who have made a positive difference to the lives of young people. Teachers play an important role in shaping and influencing our children and we believe that when young people are surrounded by adults who care and inspire them to be their best, the whole community benefits.”

Minister for Education and Child Development Susan Close said.,“Teachers play such a crucial role in the lives of students and I encourage everyone in the school community and beyond to nominate a teacher who they think is worthy of this award. I look forward to being part of this great initiative which celebrates teachers and their stories.”

Winners will be announced in September.
