Radio Training Institute graduates get their start

It’s been a successful month at Melbourne’s RTI.

Four RTI graduates are getting their start in the radio industry,

Zoe Scutter will be keeping herself busy – as well as remaining as a Sales Coordinator at ARN in Melbourne, she’s also now a casual announcer at TRFM in Gippsland, and remains hosting JOY 94.9’s daily “ JOY 6 at 6” countdown each morning.

Zoe says: “I feel unbelievably lucky to be able to be a part of ACE, ARN, and JOY 94.9. Radio is the love of my life; the last 12 months have been more than I could have ever dreamed for. I am SO excited to see what I can achieve in the next 12 months!”

Xander Speight has headed to Ballarat, ready to join the team at Power 103.1: “I’m so excited to be Power 103.1 FM’s Afternoon Announcer. I can’t thank RTI enough; I completely underestimated the power of studying something you love surrounded by people who have the same passions as you. They’ve kept me feeling inspired and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am now.”

Jennifer Rose (pictured left) has landed a job as a copywriter at ACE Radio, jumping on air as an afternoon announcer at TRFM in Gippsland. She says she’s “super excited” to be joining ACE Radio, adding “I’m incredibly grateful to RTI for their ongoing and constant support.”

Hayden Bleechmore (pictured above) has accepted a job as an announcer and audio producer at MIXX FM and 3CS in Colac. Speaking to him, he seems over the moon: “I’m so happy to have the opportunity to pursue a career in something I’m so passionate about!”

RTI’s next Advanced Radio Course commences in January. with new short courses in podcasting, voice over, and a new Intro to Radio for Teens course to start soon after. Details are at radiotraininginstitute.com.au.
