The finalists have been announced for the 2018 Australian LGBTI Awards and voting is now open, closing at 31st December 2018.
This year there were over 2000 nominees in the 18 categories split into two main groups, the Public Awards and Corporate Awards.
Radio is well represented in the Media Professional category with Triple M Mackay’s breakfast announcer, Jayson Shipston, JoyFM Melbourne’s Benjamin Norris who presents ‘Word for Word’, and Michelle Sheppard.
From The Pulse 94.7, Adem Ali ‘The Record Doctor’ and Hollywood reporter for SCA, Dean McCarty.
Also nominated is Paul ‘Browny’ Brown, who left radio in July this year to concentrate on running Wall of Sound and producing the podcast ‘Up Against the Wall’.
The awards are announced at a gala black-tie dinner on Friday March 1st, 2019.
