Like the rest of Australia, West Aussies have been deeply saddened with the devastation visited on the people of Victoria through the recent bushfires. So last Saturday RadioWest and Hot FM provided the pizzazz at the Bunbury Forum shopping centre to host a local fundraising event: Reach Out, from us to Victoria.

As have a number of sister station combos around Australia, for the first time in memory RadioWest and Hot FM threw aside programming differences to broadcast together as one on the day in an effort to raise as much money as possible for the victims of the recent bushfires. Side by side, RadioWest and Hot FM personalities joined together for a live 6 hour outside broadcast.

The event raised over $25,000, a huge amount of money for a relatively small community.
