Data Charts
A remark on the total percentage for the Sydney market.
Based on the survey results, the total percentage of the radio audience listening to Sydney radio is 80.4%.
I have been monitoring this over the years. About seven years ago that share was about 87%. Two years ago is was 84%.
Compare that to 1978, the share was 98.5%.
In essence, the audience share fell from 98.5%, in 1978 to 80.4% today.
Is the fall due to people listening to other providers of music and spoken word content from streaming services and social media?
For example YouTube, Spotify, Rumble, X and audiobooks, to name a few whether these services are paid or free?
