One of the biggest issues confronting commuters in South East Queensland is
the daily congestion on the Ipswich Motorway, the scene of daily accidents,

total traffic stoppages and lengthy delays.

Listener feedback to River949 has prompted the station to add weight to the public outcry for immediate action by Governments to relieve the congestion by initiating plans to upgrade or build an alternate Motorway.

River 949 has created an advertising billboard that highlights the plight of the road users. Currently, over 100,000 cars daily travel the Ipswich Motorway where new billboard is positioned.
