Robbie Williams scoops BBC Radio 2 Poll and Brit Awards

Robbie Williams has won best song of the past 25 years for ‘Angels’ at the British Music Awards.

Voted by listeners to BBC Radio 2, top British recording artists have gathered in London to hear the winners in the UK’s version of the US Grammys.

Williams, who started with all boy band, Take That, says ‘Angels’ changed his career, after leaving the group 10 years ago.

He claims he wrote the song in 20 minutes but, ironically, it never made it to #1 on the British music charts.

Other finalists included Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ and Kate Bush’s ‘Wuthering Heights’.
