Ross Wallman, the newest edition to Sea FM Gold Coast’s breakfast team was welcomed to his east coast placement by Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate with a gym challenge.

The pair went head to head in four challenges; the bench press, skipping, planking and a piggy-back sprint.

Despite his Sea FM profile reading “Ross loves nothing more than a good gym workout.”, Wallman was beaten by his new mayor 3-1.

Wallman moved from Perth’s 92.9 after Matt Acton announced his departure from the Sea FM breakfast show late last year.

While the move has been seamless, Wallman certainly felt some weight on his shoulders as he carried Tate across the gym in the slightly unfair piggy-back sprint.
