Rove: a post-apocalyptic zombie fan?

The Walking Dead TV Series is the most watched television series in the world for 18-49 year olds.

It’s not uncommon for The Walking Dead to have over 15 million U.S viewers for an individual episode.

It is based on the comic book series of the same name and is about a deputy sheriff who awakens from a months-long coma to confront a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies.

It’s popularity has inspired an Aussie podcast.

The OZ Walking Dead Podcast, is produced, created and presented by Ash Turner who is also a producer at 2GB and is “essentially commentary on the hit TV show aired on FX Channel Australia, “The Walking Dead”.”

“We discuss rumours, social media chatter and how the show aligns with the comic book from which the show is adapted from.”

Along with Ash other presenters include Lia Crowley, a former Zoo FM Breakfast host and AFTRS graduate along with Tom Ragg, a freelance social media strategist and campaign director.

“We’ve uncovered a significant number of on-air radio professionals love one of the goriest shows in history – In particular Rove McManus who recently had us in-studio to record the podcast with him”.

And the customer reviews on iTunes have been glowing.

“This week we have special guest Tim (Rosso) Ross on the show and then more zombie loving, radio personalities in the coming weeks.”
