‘Rusty’s Garage’ on PodcastOne

Greg Rust launches new automative podcast series.

Award-winning motorsports broadcaster Greg Rust has joined PodcastOne to produce new automotive podcast series, Rusty’s Garage.

In the first series, available from March 19, Rusty speaks to riders, drivers, racers, designers and even pilots.

Head of Podcasting for PodcastOne Australia, Grant Tothill said, “Rusty is a true motorsport enthusiast and commentator, he is a master of his craft and we are pleased to have him join PodcastOne to tell some of these extraordinary stories.”

Supercars drivers Garth Tander and seven-time champion Jamie Whincup feature along with Bathurst 1000 winner Greg Murphy. Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor has an engaging chat with Rusty, and so does Air Race pilot Matt Hall.

Legendary designer Chip Foose and former Aussie Top Gear host Steve Pizzati talk about rare restoration projects, while Ducati hero Troy Bayliss opens up exclusively on the decision to come out of retirement to race again.

The man regarded as the modern day Evel Knievel, Robbie Maddison reveals plans to make motorcycles capable of handling conditions most of us have never ridden in before.

“I had so much fun doing this. It’s about the first spark in what’s become a lifelong obsession for these people, and the wheels we’d find in their garage now including some amazing resto projects,” Rusty said.

“Given how popular Supercars is on both sides of the ditch, I’ve spoken to a few Supercars drivers including Kiwi Greg Murphy. He’s a Holden hero nowadays but it was actually a little underpowered Japanese car that first caught his eye.

“Tander speaks about how he treated himself to a muscle car in recent years that is perfect for that Sunday drive escape and Whincup talks about a car he’s nicknamed ‘Kate’, the most successful Supercar ever.”

Rusty’s Garage is available from Monday March 19 via www.podcastone.com.au, the PodcastOne app or iTunes.

Rusty is already underway with series two, talking to more celebs, racers, collectors and every day enthusiasts.
