SA pollies and top cop to try their hand at radio

Adelaide’s FIVEaa will make history next week when Breakfast Announcer Will Goodings is joined by some of SA’s hardest hitting and most influential politicians. The high-profile politicians will co-host FIVEaa’s breakfast show while David Penberthy takes paternity leave after the recent birth of his son Charles (Charlie) with wife Kate.

Premier Jay Weatherill will join Will as a co-host next week.

The Premier is a regular contributor to the FIVEaa Breakfast Show and will bring to the program all the latest news in and around the state.

Also joining Will as co-host will be the State Liberal Leader, Stephen Marshall MP. Like the Premier, Mr Marshall is a regular contributor to FIVEaa Breakfast and will share his thoughts and vision for Adelaide whilst sitting in the co-host seat.

When the name Senator Nick Xenophon is mentioned, people know they are talking about someone whose opinion and voice is widely heard and respected at all levels within the community so he is the perfect choice to join Will in breakfast.

As a regular contributor to the FIVEaa Breakfast Show and friend of the station, Senator Xenophon is quoted as saying that the most important part of his job is speaking up for people who might not otherwise have a voice. The last line of his first speech in the Senate sums up his attitude: “I would rather go down fighting, than still be standing because I stayed silent.”

Police Commissioner, Grant Stevens, has also been confirmed giving “unprecedented level of access to the State’s top Police Officer and one of SA’s most influential decision makers”.

FIVEaa Programming Director, Craig Munn says, “Everyone at FIVEaa is so excited about the co-hosts joining Will next week. We know them as respected politicians and it will be a fantastic opportunity for our listeners to get to know even more about each of these leaders in our state.”
