SAFM help give kids a Kick Start in 2014

In the spirit of the festive season, SAFM breakfast team Michael, Hayley and Burgo are once again fundraising for Kick Start For Kids, a non-for-profit charity helping disadvantaged school kids with breakfast, lunch and mentoring programmes.

Earlier this year, the team raised over $92,000 for the charity with an in-studio telethon over a three hour breakfast show. This time, the team are dedicating the whole of this week to giving kids a ‘Kick Start’ in 2014.

The team spoke to Kick Start for Kids founder Ian Steel yesterday, who appealed for South Australians to dig deep and give generoulsy to the cause:

All donations, big or small are welcomed by the team to help make a big difference to help local disadvantaged children. It only takes $1,200 per year to keep one school fed and funded.

Charity Sponsor CMI Toyota have also helped out significantly, calling up the show this morning and donating a brand new Toyota Yaris worth $15,000 to the charity, to assist with the dielivery of services to the schools and children in need.

To donate, you can pledge via the ‘National Pharmacies Kick Start For Kids’ hotline on 1300 161 006. Or, tune into SAFM throughout the day to find out where you can catch up with the SAFM Street Team to make cash donations.

All the latest tally updates can be heard during the Michael, Hayley and Burgo show weekday mornings.
