Carla Zampatti AM has been reappointed Chair of the Board of SBS radio and tv for a second five year term.

The announcement has been made by Communications Minister, Helen Coonan: “I am delighted that Carla Zampatti has accepted the invitation to continue in her role on the SBS Board.

“The SBS is one of Australia’s primary cultural institutions, with a very significant and valued role to play in Australian broadcasting.

“I am confident that Carla Zampatti will continue to make a valuable contribution to the SBS.”

Zampatti began her first term as Chair on the SBS Board in December 1999. She is Executive Chairman of the Carla Zampatti Group and holds directorships with Westfield Group and McDonald’s Australia Limited. Zampatti is also a Trustee of the Sydney Theatre Company Foundation Trust.
