SCA sales manager charged over NRL streak

It could cost SCA sales manager 12K for trying to demostrate that “it pays to advertise”

The Daily Telegraph is reporting (subscription required) that SCA sales manager Matthew Cooper stripped naked and ran across Bankwest Stadium during the Tigers v Eels game on Sunday in front of 24,000 fans.

He has been issued with an on-the-spot court attendance and could face jail time and or a fine of $12,000 for wilful and obscene exposure.

Cooper, the national sales manager for 2Day FM and Triple M, had received a complimentary ticket to the game as a guest of the NRL, and had to be wrestled to the ground by security.

According to the Telegraph, he allegedly took off his clothes, hid behind a Channel 9 cameraman before sprinting on to the field.

It is also understood that on Monday Cooper had to face the music at SCA, fronting the HR Department at the insistence of SCA management.
