SCA’s Listen Up takes on drink-driving

Southern Cross Austereo’s ‘Listen Up’ commercial-free campaign will be airing tonight at 6pm, raising much needed around drink-driving within Western Australia.

The one hour, statewide simulcast special features insightful interviews and first-hand accounts of the devastating effects of drink-driving.

‘Listen Up’ follows a previous campaign about ice-addiction, which was a WA first, also broadcasting across all SCA stations, including hit92.9, mix94.5, HOT FM and Radio West.

Host, hit92.9’s Tim Lee and mix94.5’s Lisa Shaw, will be joined by Road Safety Commissioner Kim Papalia, St John Ambulance Paramedics James Sheriff and Pat O’Dal, and Michelle and Catherine Roberts who sadly lost their father as a result of drink-driving.

Linda Wayman, SCA General Manager, says “This Listen Up program is both emotional and important. ‘Emotional’ because you will hear first- hand accounts of how drink-driving has impacted on lives in a devastating way; and ‘important’ as this is one of the biggest killers in our state.

“SCA is very proud to be providing this program to the Western Australian people.”
