Sea FM Spreads the Christmas Cheer on the Gold Coast

Listening to radio and going to the movies has never been so charitable

The teams at Sea FM, Event Cinemas, Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas and the Salvation Army have partnered to raise toys for underprivileged children this festive season as part of Sea FM’s I Believe in Christmas Toy Drive.

During November, all of these businesses will open their doors for the people of the Gold Coast, to donate gifts for those who would otherwise go without.

In 2011, Southern Cross Austereo collected and donated more than 20,000 toys for the Salvation Army and this year, they are hoping to raise even more for children across Australia.

Southern Cross Austereo Gold Coast General Manager Nick Scott said, “We are very excited to be working in partnership with Event Cinemas and Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinemas this year to raise toys for the I Believe in Christmas toy drive. The additional help means there are now five locations across the coast where Gold Coasters can donate for this great cause.”

Salvation Army spokesman Major Neil Venables said, “The Salvo’s message of “hope” this Christmas is made even more possible thanks to Southern Cross Austereo’s I Believe in Christmas campaign.

“We want to thank all those Australians who donated toys to the appeal. Many children will have a brighter Christmas because of your generosity,” he said.
