Some state Premiers are more popular than others and Tasmania’s Paul Lennon must be a favourite given that he was selected to be a prize – albeit a booby prize – in a Sea FM battle of the sexes contest.

The women having lost the gender tussle for September, Kim Geale, the female lead on the Hobart station’s Kim and Dave show was given the challenge to plant one on the state Premier.

Tough call? Hardly. Lennon wasted no time racing into the Sea FM studio to do the business on his way to Melbourne to watch his beloved Cats win the AFL pennant. To prevent any hint of scandal, the smooch was billed as a “good luck” kiss for the Cats.

As the pic from the Hobart Mercury shows neither party was suffering from the ordeal.
