Sean Brown goes home to Hobart, and Hit Network girls go makeup free

Sean Brown has returned to his hometown as Mornings Announcer and Music Director for Hobart’s Hit100.9.

Originally born in Hobart and growing up in Tasmania, Sean made the move to Sydney in 2017 to attend AFTRS and whilst studying, Sean began his radio career producing digital content with Kyle and Jackie O then moved onto casual on-air work across the Australian Radio Network.

Most recently, Sean was the host on Magic 931’s breakfast show in South Australia and now has scored a spot on the radio station he grew up listening to and says, “To be a music jock at SCA has been a dream of mine for quite some time. I’m a strong believer that RnB Fridays is the best thing since sliced bread!”

“I’m originally a Tassie boy, and I’ve been living away for the last couple of years, so it’s a massive bonus I get to be on the airwaves back home.”

Content Director for SCA Tasmania, Phil Bradley, says, “We are so excited to add Sean to our workday line-up, it’s great to have a born and bred Hobartian join the station he grew up listening to. Sean will be playing Hits & Old School plus the RnB Fridays tunes he loves while talking with people in a city he is truly passionate about.”

Sean can be heard weekdays from 9am-1pm on Hobart’s Hit100.9 from Monday, 29th April.

Hit105.5 Coffs Coast breakfast host A.B says, “I decided to challenge myself and invite my colleagues to do the same because I cannot remember a time in my adult life that I’ve ever truly liked the way that I look, and hate that more and more girls are growing up feeling the same.”
“By embracing our flaws instead of hiding them, maybe we, along with our listeners, can help redefine the standards of beauty that we set for ourselves and eventually learn to love our uniqueness.”

The announcers will share their journey, highs and lows and stories of listeners and other inspirational women throughout the month of May.
