SEN have their teams in place for the NRL season kick-off

With the 2022 NRL season kicking off tonight, also signals the return of Sport Entertainment Network’s NRL Nation SEN’s widely syndicated call of the big matches each weekend.

NRL Nation covers four NRL matches each round throughout the NRL season, Thursday night, Friday 6pm, Saturday 3pm, and Sunday 4pm.

The call can be heard across Sydney’s SEN 1170, Queensland’s SENQ and Gold Coast 1620, various SENTrack stations, on the SEN app, and right across the country in more than 50 regional stations.

The SEN call team for tonight’s game includes former NRL player and Afternoons host Jimmy Smith, 2003 Grand Final hero Scott Sattler, and 1999 Clive Churchill medallist and 300 gamer Brett Kimmorley.

More big-name NRL talent will be heard across the SEN airwaves, calling games throughout the NRL season, including former Canberra Raiders premiership player and international Gary Belcher, Parramatta Eels legend Tim Mannah, and Manly Sea Eagles premiership player and international, Mark ‘Spud’ Carroll.

Accompanying this line-up will be player-turned-coach, Anthony Seibold, former international Shaun Timmins, Channel 7 Sports Reporter Katie Brown, caller Mark Braybrook and Bulldogs legend Luke The General’ Patten.

Mornings host Matt White spearheads Saturday afternoon coverage while popular drive host Joel Caine leads Fridays.

Popular NRL program Crunch Time will also return to SEN 1170 and will this year be heard right across the weekend, on Saturdays from 12-2pm, and on Sundays from 12-3pm.

Saturday’s Crunch Time program will be hosted again by Caine, with regulars Luke Patten and Paul Sironen.

Sunday Crunch Time will welcome a new host, 10 News Journalist and SEN summer breakfast host, Jelisa Apps. Apps will do a round-up of the weekend’s NRL games as well as a preview of the following week’s scheduled matches. Regulars on the program include Stephen O’Keefe and Trent Copeland.

SEN Content Manager, Jeremy Markham, says, “Once again, NRL Nation will showcase the very best of the best when it comes to play by play callers and expert commentators. It’s a proven line-up that can cover all facets of the game and is unmatched in experience.”
