If not for the current uncertainty caused by the latest surge in Covid-19 cases, St Paul’s Church would have been packed and overflowing with those wishing to pay their last respects to a man described as a “true saint” in the sermon given by the Anglican minister – himself, a lifelong friend of Glenn’s.
Nonetheless, thousands more were able to watch the service live via video link, which you can watch below while it is still available.
Short and sweet, 3 pars and a grab… was, according to Glenn’s son James what Glenn used to teach young cadets about presenting radio news.
The Good Book says:
"There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven:
A time for tears, a time for laughter; a time for mourning, a time for dancing.
A time for searching, a time for losing; a time for keeping, a time for discarding.
A time for...for speaking.
A time for loving..., a time for peace"
Eccles:4: 1, 4, 6, 7, 8.
There is also a time for thanks.
The service and accompanying video presentation is a summary of the above statements.
Thank you,
Anthony of Belfield
