The AFTRS students working on Show Radio this year can now rightly claim to be Sydney’s newest station – going on air just a few days later than Nova FM.

Show Radio is the first of three major  practical projects undertaken by students in the full time AFTRS Graduate Diploma in Commercial Radio Broadcasting course. The eleven students will graduate in September. 

The format contains extensive Show information plus country music, which the students programmed themselves using Selector. You can hear Show Radio on 95.3FM in Sydney or on the internet via the AFTRS website

AFTRS Head of Radio Steve Ahern says he is looking forward to hearing the students’ first on air showcase. “When the course begins we work frantically to get the students ready for this first gig. It is always hectic preparing for it, but now they have their chance to shine.”
