2Day FM has appointed Simon Greally as Creative Director to oversee the day to day of the station and to work breakfast hours with the new breakfast team as an additional support.
Simon started with Triple M and 2DayFM and then with Kyle & Jackie O as their EP when they moved to KIIS before stepping away from radio and working CMO of WestHQ and most recently at marketing agency Indy where he was CEO.
Head of the Hit Network, Gemma Fordham, says, “Simon has 10 years’ experience in radio and is one of the most talented and creative programmers going around. Many of us have worked with him before and know what a huge asset he will be to the 2DayFM team. We now continue our exciting new chapter in 2021 full of expertise, creativity and enthusiasm.
“Along with the breakfast team, I wanted to take this opportunity again to thank Jamie Angel for the incredible job he has done over the past 18 months, it was a leap of faith by JA to join us and we are so glad you did it JA. Jamie will host mornings from 9am and will continue to work with myself on creative scripting for the Hit network.”
The station has also firmed up the team that will support the Morning Crew with Hughesy Ed & Erin beginning in 2021 with Sacha French, the long serving Content Manager of Hughesy and Ed, to continue in her role, while the EP of Ash London Live, Violet Merhi, will step into the role of Executive Producer.
Alexandra Carlon, the Producer on 2Day, will continue in her role and Chris Kubacki will continue in his role as 2Day Audio Producer.
2Day is recruiting for a Digital Producer to join the show.
Both Ellie Angel and MC will work afternoons and weekends, Ellie Weds-Sat and MC Sun-Tues.
