Newcastle based 2HD’s announcer Richard King is hosting a 19 day tour to Canada and Alaska. Over 60 Novocastrians, including a couple who won the $20,000 trip in a 2HD competition, are joining Richard for the jouney.

The group is traveling on the world famous Rocky Mountaineer deep into the Canadian Rocky Mountains to Banff with 5 days of broadcasts from the Banff Centre known for excellence in music and fine arts.

When the show wraps tomorrow the team head to back to Vancouver to board the Sapphire Princess for a 7 night cruise to Alaska. Earlier today, the Mayor of Banff, Karen Sorensen joined Richard at one of the live broadcasts to discuss the local area.
