Snow Patrol to play small crowd at Take 40 Live Lounge

Only 300 tickets will be made available to a special performance of Snow Patrol at The Standard in Sydney, ahead of their 2012 Australian tour.

This one-off show, sponsored by Debit MasterCard  is a Take 40 Live Lounge  experience to be filmed Thursday 27 September for broadcast at a later date.

Billed as an intimate affair, “For fans who want more from their music experiences,” the concert will feature an acoustic performance from Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly  and  long-time collaborator John McDaid followed by a Q&A with the as part of the show.

This will be the first opportunity for Australian fans to hear the trio perform songs from the new album Fallen Empires in this special acoustic gig by the Irish/Scottish band.

“I prefer the intimate shows as I love to speak to the crowd,” says lead singer Gary, “When the crowd is vast you feel it necessary to shout, even though one has a microphone. This does not make for an easy going chat. Saying that; big shows mean big spectacle and big noise. We like that too.”

Tickets can only be purchased by Debit MasterCard cardholders as part of the ongoing Take 40 Live Lounge Debit MasterCard concert series.
