With the strong likelihood that 2Day’s struggling Breakfast show will be replaced next year, Sophie Monk’s management have thrown in the towel.

They told SCA management that the glamorous media personality won’t be renewing her one year contract. 

According to a report in The Daily Telegraph, the decision was made as SCA had been procrastinating about their plans for 2015.

“We gave notice on Sophie’s behalf recently after she carefully re-evaluated her position on the breakfast team,” Nick Fordham of Fordham Company ­management told Confidential last night. “She has enjoyed the role but felt she needed to move on and seek new challenges.”

Monk’s departure occurs just three months after Mel B left the show leaving just Merrick Watts and Jules Lund to carry on.
