With one half of the Today network’s drive time duo about to take maternity leave, it was time to decide who would keep Fifi’s seat warm.
Fifi is just weeks away from welcoming her first child into the world, so Jules Lund and Byron Cooke had a big job ahead of them filling her shoes without a little help.
It’s the hottest seat in radio land, with offers flooding in from Denise Scott, Bindi Irwin and even Pearl, Fifi’s mother!
It’s a been a tough decision, and today the team were delighted to announce that Fifi will be handing the microphone over to singer, model and actress Sophie Monk.
The bubbly blonde is no stranger to the airwaves, filling in for Jackie O a couple of years ago when she took time off to welcome daughter Kitty, and most recently hosted the breakfast show at Sea FM on the Gold Coast over the Christmas break.
Sophie will join Jules and Byron at a yet to be determined date over the next few weeks.

Sophie Monk: Oh Fifi, thanks for having me. And for having that baby, it’s going to be awesome!
Jules Lund: You do know about our new segment, Ham and Andy had ‘Pants Off Friday’, we’ve got ‘Clothes Off Friday’….
Sophie: Oh, we do? That’s so weird, but well, you gotta do what you gotta do….
Byron Cooke: She’s fine with it…
Fifi: Under no circumstances are you required to take your clothes off…I’m just making that clear to you.
Jules: Well, I’m the host…and she’s the guest… we’re so looking forward to it.
