Bob Geldof will join the 4KQ breakfast team for a special half hour interview next Monday.
Joining Laurel, Gary and Mark from 7am Sir Bob will talk to the team not only about his musical career but a range of topics from meeting world leaders, men and women, consoling each and the Boomtown Rats Brisbane tour.
This is a very special interview for Laurel Edwards, who first saw the Boomtown Rats in 1979 at Brisbane’s Festival Hall, her first international music group.
Geldof opened up to the team about the Boomtown Rats Brisbane tour, referring to when Laurel first saw them live.
“You just sang those words and saw pop and you screamed and that’s the way it should be”, he said.
Geldof, known for his social activism, told the team he shares his point of view through his music. “I have a point of view but I wrapped it up in melodies and choruses.”
Boomtown Rats will be in Brisbane on May 20th and Geldof is currently on a round of pre-publicty visits ahead of the tour.
