Spin Cycle: Survey 4 2023

The Spin from the PR and Marketing departments is in for GfK Radio 360 Survey 4.

Legendary broadcaster, Ray Hadley, has today celebrated an historic 150th consecutive ratings win – one of the longest winning streaks of all time.

Today’s ratings from Gfk Survey 4 saw The Ray Hadley Morning Show record a 17 share, up 1.5 points – solidifying Hadley’s dominance as Sydney’s No.1 live and local broadcaster for more than 19 years. His unbeaten streak started in Survey 4, 2004.

2GB staff gathered outside the studio this morning to congratulate Hadley.
Ben Fordham, No 1 in Breakfast, said:
“The real story today is Ray Hadley notching up 150 ratings wins in a row.  It’s unprecedented and extraordinary.  That’s almost 20 years in a row at number one.  When we’ve faced some pressure in breakfast, Ray has been a sensational support and encouraged us not to lose focus and just keep doing what we’re doing.  We’re very lucky to have him steering the ship at 2GB.”
Ray Hadley said:
“From 2004 we’ve been unbeaten and it’s about hard work basically. It’s about keeping people informed and entertained, and I’m surrounded by a fantastic young team who keep me young and enthusiastic about what I do.”
“We don’t take anything for granted, we won’t do anything different. We’ll be in early, we’ll stay here and we’ll keep doing our job, and that’s what success is based on. It’s about hard work and it doesn’t matter if you’re a brickie, a plumber or like my late father, a butcher, if you work hard you get rewarded.”
“Thank you to all my fellow colleagues here at Nine Radio and 2GB.”

Managing Director of Nine Radio, Tom Malone, said:

“Ray Hadley is a once in a lifetime broadcaster who is unmatched in versatility and work ethic. Ray’s loyalty to his listeners and their welfare is the cornerstone of his success. He deserves every success.”

Hadley still calls rugby league for 2GB and his tally includes thousands of NRL games, 33 Grand Finals and tomorrow night he will call his 96th State of Origin.

Three’s a charm  for Stav, Abby and Matt as B105 wins the workday!
B105 Content Director, Jack Ball, said:
“What an incredible day for B105, winning all of the local timeslots including Breakfast, Mornings and Afternoons.
“For Stav, Abby and Matt, this is their third straight number one. They’re three genuine friends who want to start your morning with a heap of laughs, a heap of music, and a heap of Allen’s Brown Snake lollies. We’re forever grateful for all of our listeners who choose to start their mornings with B105.
“B105 Workday announcer Ellie Angel-Mobbs and Brad Wood have historically collected their eighth straight number one workday result today, seeing them on top of the ratings for a full 12 months now. They play the best music in Brisbane and notching up one year of consecutive #1 results will be celebrated today.”

“Survey 4 has been another great result for NOVA Entertainment where we remain the country’s most listened-to metro network, connecting with 6.4 million Australians every week. On FM alone, we added another 64,000 listeners becoming the only metro network reaching over 6 million people.
