Noel Crowe today won a victory for Sport 927 in a Federal Court hearing, forcing Nielsen Media Research to “undertake certain steps as demanded by Sport 927”.

Nielsen will now be required not to publish audience share figures for Sport 927 and to issue a public statement about the methodology used in Survey 1 with the ratings results tomorrow.

The changes have been made after consultation, and in agreement with, Commercial Radio Australia.

Sport 927 will follow up that statement with publicity of its own about the last result and will go back to the Federal Court again on April 21 to pursue a claim for damages.
