Sportsday returns in 2026, Kane Cornes to front new SEN show Locked In

Sportsday will return for Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) in 2026 with Gerard Healy joined by a new addition to the network; Ken Hinkley.

Healy is a Brownlow Medallist and Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee who has, since retirement, become one of the most influential voices in football media. Hinkley is fresh from an extraordinary coaching career at Port Adelaide. He played 132 games for Fitzroy and Geelong before switching to coaching. As Port Adelaide’s senior coach for 13 seasons, he guided the club to seven finals series, four preliminary finals, twice won the AFL Coaches Association Coach of the Year and has in the past contributed to SEN.

Healy said:

“Sportsday has always been about great conversation and insight, and I’m excited to team up with Ken. His experience as a player and coach adds a fantastic dimension to the show, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Hinkley, who will also be heard on Crunch Time, AFL Nation and Whateley with Gerard Whately during his inaugural year with SEN in 2026, added:

“I’m thrilled to join Sportsday and the SEN family in general, and sharing my passion for the game with fans. After so many years in the coaching box, I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to the conversation and connecting with listeners during the season.”

Sportsday returns to its traditional timeslot of 6 to 8pm AEST/5.30 to 7.30pm ACST Monday to Wednesday. AFL Nation will start earlier on Thursday nights to cover the big games. Fans can also look forward to the return of Champion Data’s Daniel Hoyne on Tuesday nights, delivering the stats and analysis.

Kane Cornes too will  front a new show called Locked In. It will be heard across the SEN network between 5 and 6pm AEST / 4.30 and 5.30pm AEST Tuesdays to Thursdays, including being broadcast live from the ground ahead of Thursday night football.

Cornes said:

“This show is a great opportunity to tackle the biggest topics of the day from 5 to 6pm in my typical style. I’m excited to work with a different big-name, co-host each night and uncover their perspective and strongest opinions.”

Locked starts Tuesday February 10.
