Steve and Kim go out partying

NXFM’s Steve and Kim did their last show today in front of 1000 people, with Steve Graham announcing he will now be heard on sister station KOFM.

Steve and Kim wanted to celebrate the final show in style by holding a huge party at Panthers Newcastle with hundreds oftheir closest friends.

It was a huge celebration party with special guests, favourite moments and a chance to remember some funny stuff with The Steve and Kim Breakfast Show.

Starting early January 2013, Newcastle can expect a different kind of Drive home on KOFM, as Steve G delivers “his blend of humour, observations about life and music that he absolutely loves.”

In his farewell words, Steve had a message for the fun police: “For the do-gooders and political correctness people out there – pull your heads in you wankers. You wouldn’t believe the stuff we can’t say on air now.”

Signing off just before 9am Kim Bauer said: “Steve has been like a brother to me – I have known him since 1992. But there were times when I wanted to punch you in the head.”
Damien Botha, the third member of the team, is leaving radio and joining a Newcastle accounting firm.

The new breakfast team, Heath and Normy will begin next month, as reported previously on radioinfo.
