Strategic New Media launches with major digital initiatives

Strategic Media Solutions has announced the formation of a new division within the company’s operations that will specifically work on new media content and software development. The division will also include provision of training in the area of new media and digital radio.

To be known as Strategic New Media, the new division will initially be working alongside a range of global alliance partners on unique products for digital media as well as software developed to interact with social networks and listeners.

One of the first new training projects for new comers and existing and potential users of digital radio will include a strategic alliance with Ahern Media Training (AMT). Headed by Steve Ahern, most recently the director of radio for the Australian Film Television and Radio School, Strategic New Media and Ahern’s company will be providing training and development for digital radio both in Australia and around the world.

Commenting on the new venture, Strategic Media Solutions Managing Director, David Rogerson says: “it made sense to align our content provision and development team with Steve’s proven experience in the training and development of digital radio staff. It really provides a complete package and one stop shop for digital radio users. It’s a natural evolution in the growth and development of our companies.”

Over the course of the next month, Strategic New Media also plans to announce further projects and alliances in the Asia Pacific region which will involve new media digital radio products.
