If it feels like barely a month since Survey 1, that’s because it is exactly one month (and two days) since the last one.
By Survey 2 each year, the trendlines start to emerge.
Expect little change to the pecking order in Sydney and Melbourne with talk stations 3AW and 2GB on top, followed by ABC local in both markets and music stations filling out the rest, led by GOLD104.3 in Melbourne and KIIS106.5 or perhaps WSFM in Sydney.
For some excitement, though, you can’t go past Brisbane and Perth where the top spot changes hands between the music stations like a game of pass the parcel. Can ARN’s KIIS973 (formerly 97.3FM) wrest back the lead from NOVA106.9 in Brisbane? Or will NOVA93.7 in Perth kick again to topple ARN’s 96FM? Or, will some other wild card beat them all?
We’ll all find out at 9:30 am today, here on radioinfo.
Meanwhile, to catch up on where terrestrial stations were at in Survey 1 in terms of “share” and DAB+ in “cumes”, go here.

All of that will be updated today as Survey 2 lands at 9:30 am, right here on radioinfo where you can also see our exclusive kinetic Historical Rankings Charts that dance before your eyes as they reveal station trends, market by market, over the past two years of results.
