Youth DAB+ station CADA has reached an impressive 150K cumulative audience in Sydney in GfK Survey 7 with Coles Radio top in Melbourne, Mix 80s in Adelaide and smooth in Brisbane and Perth.
Full GfK Survey 7 results can be found here, spin and cumes.
In Sydney:
CADA’s cumulative audience was up to 151,000 with audience gains in the 25-39 age group and listening to the AI voice clone Thy across mornings and afternoons. Pictured is K-Sera who hosts weeknights from 5pm (supplied).
ARN‘s KIIS 90s and KIIS Australia both had more than 100K cume audience. KIIS Australia growth should extend into Survey 8 to include the impact of AusMusic month in November.
Still no listeners to Nova Entertainment‘s Priceline Radio with other DAB+ stations not (yet) making an impact in certain metro markets.
Melbourne:
Coles Radio and Gold 80s the only two stations reaching more than 100K cume audience.
The youth audience responding differently with CADA not finding a footing and TikTok Trending seeing the most significant drop Survey 7.
SCA‘s DANCE HITS heading up towards 100K, with dance stations overall seeing an uptick
Brisbane:
smooth FM Brisbane No 1 with Coles Radio just behind.
Still no audience for NOVA Fresh Country, which only airs in Brisbane and is up against MMM Country, iHeart Country and ABC Country.
MMM Classic Rock the third most listened to in the city on DAB.
Adelaide:
Mix 80s pips smooth FM Adelaide and Coles Radio this survey.
The switch from Nova Throwbacks to Nova Jamz doesn’t appear to be grabbing Adelaide. In Survey 1, 2025 Nova Throwbacks had a cume audience of 32,000 – down to just a third of that now.
Perth:
smooth FM Perth comfortably No 1. Next year where Christian O’Connell and Kyle and Jackie O fit in on the DAB+ dial in Perth may see some of the Nova and ARN stations in the city superseded.
96FM 80s, which is likely to become Gold 80s next year, alongside the station rebrand, clear second.
Another good result for the Capital Radio Network’s 60’s Music and 70’s Music off the back of limited promotion and people just discovering them on the dial.
