✨ All Eyes On Taylor: Four Showgirl singles hit the Top 40
🚀 Spins Surge: Weekly airplay up 350% across entire catalogue
🎙️ Network Backing: Hit and Nova go into full Swift mode
This week’s airplay chart belongs to one artist and one artist only: Taylor Swift. Celebrating the release of The Life Of A Showgirl, radio stations across the country went into full Swift mode, spinning everything from her brand-new singles to decade-old classics.
Four songs from the new record debut inside the Top 40 – ‘The Fate Of Ophelia’ (#12), ‘Opalite’ (#22), ‘Wood’ (#35) and ‘Wi$h Li$t’ (#38).
Album opener ‘Ophelia’ drew attention from 26 stations, including 2Day FM (36 spins) and K Rock (35). ‘Opalite’ notched up 316 spins, boosted by airplay from 101.9 The Fox and SAFM, which each contributed 27 spins.
‘Wood’ and ‘Wi$h Li$t’ round out the new entries, with Hit and Nova networks responsible for nearly all the action on air.
Altogether, Swift’s airplay skyrocketed 350% this week. Former chart-toppers ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Cruel Summer’ and ‘Anti-Hero’ enjoyed renewed airtime, contributing to a remarkable total of 71 Swift tracks heard across AM and FM radio nationwide.
