The FNMA seeking multimedia reporter trainees

First Nations Media Australia (The FNMA) are looking for expressions of interest from First Nations’ people to train and become multimedia reporters.

Over a six month period there will be a one hour weekly Master Class session conducted by professionals in their field: photography, photojournalism, and news gathering techniques (research, sourcing, interviewing, media law, editorial) plus a five day training session in audio and video production.

Reporters receive a monthly Training Stipend during the 6-months.

After the training, reporters will continue to produce regular news and current affairs reports, which will be featured on IndigiTube and social media, and will receive fees for those reports.

The deadline for expressions is June 30, 2023. You can submit your interest or nominate someone else here.
