The newly elected President of community broadcaster ArtSound FM, Bart Meehan, has announced to its members that the Governor-General, Her Excellency, the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, has agreed to become the Canberra station’s patron. They are the first community radio station to receive this patronage with Meehan telling the CBAA:
“Her support, along with that of organisations like CBAA, is essential in helping us to bring the work of promising local artists to our community. ArtSound is committed to making Canberra one of the country’s greats centres of the arts.”
