The KIIS and ABC Networks will cover the Queens funeral on Monday

This coming Monday, the KIIS Network will be paying their respects and mourning with the nation, as they cover the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Throughout the entire day, there will be special live crosses to London where the state funeral is taking place, as well as rolling coverage across all stations’ social media feeds.

From 4-7PM (AEST), a special program titled Remembering Queen Elizabeth II will air, with Will and Woody hosting from 4-6pm before Kyle and Jackie O take over for the final hour.

Post the special, each station will cross to the funeral from 8pm with an exclusive audio feed from Australia’s #1 nightly news, 7NEWS live from London.

Listeners can also tune in to farewell the Queen via iHeart’s pop-up station, Queen Elizabeth II Funeral.

The ABC will take audiences live to Westminster Abbey in London on Monday 19 September with coverage on ABC Local Radio of the funeral. 

On ABC Radio, ABC Brisbane Evenings presenter, Kelly Higgins-Devine will anchor a national one-hour special at 7.00pm AEST covering the events leading up to the funeral proceedings, with Virginia Trioli, Raf Epstein and Richard Glover providing insights live from London.  

From 8.00pm AEST their local radio network will also broadcast the BBC’s coverage of the Queen’s funeral for the duration of the service. 

On Thursday 22 September during the National Day of Mourning ABC Local Radio will cover the memorial service for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II live from Parliament House in Canberra from 11.00am AEST.
